Latter-day Saint. Libertarian. White. Male. Could we ever be friends?

Perhaps my religious beliefs, political perspective, race and gender differ from yours. And, to judge by much of the recent social media dialogue, some would conclude we can’t really talk. We’re simply in different camps, many would conclude, with each party saying the other just doesn’t “get it.”  How could we ever be friends? Here’s one reason: I would be just as happy to learn about your point of view than to talk about my own.

So what’s the catch? Well, there’s the risk that we might find some common ground. That you might end up sharing more about yourself than you had expected. That you might find a friend.

So what are you waiting for? Come talk to me. And see what it’s like to sit down with someone  just as happy to listen as to talk.
